The Star Newspaper Kenya: Print and Online Breaking News

Read news in the star newspaper online now. The Star Newspaper is formerly known as Nairobi Star and enjoys a considerable readership and coverage in Kenya, especially in Nairobi and other urban areas.

The star started as a Nairobi only newspaper, then known as Nairobi star which it outgrew to become the current nationwide news media under the name the star.

But who owns the star? It has come to my knowledge that the star is owned together with Kiss 100 Radio, Classic 105 Radio, Kiss and classic TV stations. If it is in your knowledge, share the info with us, as to who owns the star newspaper as well as this huge conglomeration of media houses.

Where to buy the star newspaper? or are you asking for the price of the star? if you are in the major towns and cities, you will easily find your copy of the newspaper on a street corner. for some smaller town, I'm not sure that their distribution can find you..?

The star print newspaper raised its price recently to Ksh 50 per copy so you buy it now at the same price as the bigger newspapers like Daily Nation, and The Standard Newspapers.

The star uses their tagline Fresh, Independent, Different. Do you belief that they match up?

The Star Newspaper in Kenya-Fresh, independent, Different

TNewspapers in Kenya, the star, nairobi star websitehe Star is the younger of all Kenyan newspapers. It launched in 2007 as Nairobi Star, then appealing mostly to the younger generation. In 2009, the paper went national, changing its name to “The Star” from “Nairobi Star” By this they declared a war in trying to garner their own readership, slicing from the market already held a bit too tight by Nation media Newspaper and The Standard. The Star Newspaper have the slogan "Fresh, independent, Different"

The Star Newspaper, Classic 105, Kiss 100 and Radio Jambo, Kiss TV and Classic Televisions

The star consequently started offering news from all-over the country and increased its print volume to about 40 pages from Nairobi Star’s 20 pages. Since then, the star has enjoyed heavy advertising especially through Classic 105 radio, Radio Jambo and Kiss FM and their sister Television stations Classic and Kiss TV. This just points to how media houses are controlled “under one roof’
The Star Newspaper news Website

Recently, the star launched their website, which still maintains the nairobi star domain name. The site is Joomla CMS based and quite appealing. The online paper has columns on National, Local-which deals with the county system and news, Business, Opinions, Sports, Lifestyle, Society, Cartoon and of course some wikileaks. At this rate, we just hold our breath as we watch this new-comer face the giants in terms of news production and delivery! You can visit the Star's Website here
Editors and Columnists of Nairobi Star Newspaper and Website

Some of the Columnists and editors listed at their website include renown names like Miguna Miguna; Prof. Yash Ghai, a man still respected for his work in the Constitution of Kenya - the Bomas Draft; Pheroze Nowrojee, a figure to reckon with in legal matters; Wycliff Muga; David Makali; Moses Kuria; Aly Khan and Gwyn Dyer
