Breaking News:: Infotrack has released another opinion poll, together with Ipsos Synovate and Strategic Research. Quote:The poll released on Monday 18th February 2013 and commissioned by Citizen TV showed that Uhuru has already caught up with Raila Odinga and his popularity is rising
Uhuru has risen to 44% popularity while Raila has dropped to 44% popularity. Neither of the two, if elections were held that day would win in the first round. they would have to run for a second round
.
=====Earlier Opinion Poll Jan 2013=====
The earlier opinion polls, Jan 11, 2013, Infotrack places Cord (Raila Odinga's vehicle to statehouse) above Jubilee, Lead by uhuru kenyatta. Tha percentage differences are quite huge...
According to the polls, Cord would gather 49% in the first round with Uhuru's Jubilee gathering 40%. By this, Raila would not be declared president, but it would force a second round elections.
For personalities running for the top job, infotrack opinion poll says that the most popular presidential aspirant and their running mate are Raila-Kalonzo at 51 percent followed by Uhuru-Ruto at 39 percent, Mudavadi 3 percent, Kenneth-Tuju 3 percent, Karua 0.3 percent and Kiyiapi 0.1 percent.
So would Raila win the elections by 51% first round?
But this is what one Kenyan had to say about Infotrack Opinion poll:
Quote:in 2007 there was such a huge discrepancy in the opinion poll companies with Infortrak and Strategic Research giving Raila 10% points above Kibaki while Consumer Insight gave KIbaki 3% points over Raila. Steadman remained the more realistic polls. Even in Steadman polls, Kibaki gained over 7% within 2 weeks narrowing the gap significantly between him and Raila. I see the same this time: Infotrak and Strategic (if they will participate) giving Raila a huge lead while Comsumer Insight (if it will participate) doing the same for Uhuru. The only thing we want is people not to riot and cause chaos based on these opinion polls should their candidate loose.
